HANDLE WITH CARE


 Your watch is a concentrate of mechanical complexity that requires a few precautions to ensure its proper operation and optimal performance. Here are some practical tips to preserve your timepiece.

WATER RESISTANCE

Czapek Timepieces have a water resistance of 3 atmos (30 meters) for the gold versions and 5 atm (50 meters) for the Titanium and steel versions. Steel models of the Antarctique collection have a water resisitance of 12 atmos (120 meters) as long as the crown is pushed into neutral position and is fully screwed in. Keep in mind that diving activities should be done with diving watches.

MAGNETIC FIELDS

Magnetic fields such as those generated by cell phones, handbag clasps or electronic devices of all kinds will not directly damage your watch but do influence its rate accuracy or even cause it to stop working. If your watch is running too fast, it could possibly be magnetized. Yet, most watch shops will be able to demagnetize it within a minute.

SHOCKS

Your timepiece is shock-resistant for everyday use, such as knocks and bumps. However, we strongly advise against exposing your Czapek to heavy shocks (such as might be encountered in sports).

SCRATCHES

Any contact between your watch and harder objects such as chains and pieces of jewellery you wear on your wrist may lead to scratches on the case, particularly if the case is made of gold and platinum.

SERVICING YOUR WATCH

For all mechanical timepieces, good maintenance is key to longevity. In order to ensure this, we recommend your watch to be serviced every 4-5 years. Movement overhaul includes:
