THE BLOCKCHAIN
Czapek provides two certificates for your timepiece:
• A paper certificate also called the “Czapek Passport”.
• A digital blockchain-encrypted certificate.
Czapek has teamed up with the Aura Blockchain Consortium, a non-profit association of luxury brands investing in technologies and innovative thinking, to create this state-ofthe-art digital certificate.
The blockchain certificate is a replica of your paper certificate. This replica can’t be lost and will follow your timepiece eternally. It will securely store all its service and ownership change history. It will enable you to prove that you own this timepiece and will prevent forgery.
These digital certificates activation's date is Winter 2024.

SERVICING YOUR WATCH
For all mechanical timepieces, good maintenance is key to longevity. In order to ensure this, we recommend your watch to be serviced every 4-5 years. Movement overhaul includes:
STEP 1
Complete dismantling of the movement to examine for wear and tear and cleaning of all components. In case of damaged parts, they will be replaced.
STEP 2
Each component is systematically washed several times to remove any foreign bodies or traces of lubricant.
STEP 3
Re-assembling and lubricating. On demand, our movements can also be upgraded to their latest version (upon movement availability and if the mainplate allows the change).
STEP 4
On demand, your watch case and, for the Antarctique collection, you metal bracelet, can be repolished to get your watch back like new!
STEP 5
The chronometric performance of each watch is checked and adjusted by the watchmaker to guarantee optimum precision.
STEP 6
All watches have their joints replaced. Water-resistance is systematically tested.
WATCH CARING
Your watch is a concentrate of mechanical complexity that requires a few precautions to ensure its proper operation and optimal performance. Here are some practical tips to preserve your timepiece.
WATER RESISTANCE
Czapek Timepieces have a water resistance of 3 atmos (30 meters) for the gold versions and 5 atm (50 meters) for the Titanium and steel versions. Steel models of the Antarctique collection have a water resisitance of 12 atmos (120 meters) as long as the crown is pushed into neutral position and is fully screwed in. Keep in mind that diving activities should be done with diving watches.
MAGNETIC FIELDS
Magnetic fields such as those generated by cell phones, handbag clasps or electronic devices of all kinds will not directly damage your watch but do influence its rate accuracy or even cause it to stop working. If your watch is running too fast, it could possibly be magnetized. Yet, most watch shops will be able to demagnetize it within a minute.
SHOCKS
Your timepiece is shock-resistant for everyday use, such as knocks and bumps. However, we strongly advise against exposing your Czapek to heavy shocks (such as might be encountered in sports).
SCRATCHES
Any contact between your watch and harder objects such as chains and pieces of jewellery you wear on your wrist may lead to scratches on the case, particularly if the case is made of gold and platinum.
