Choose your favorite Czapek timepiece and its options (if available).

2. Place your order

Most of our timepieces are made on request. This means that there will be a waiting time between the moment you order your watch and the time we will deliver it, as we must manufacture it first. Therefore, to confirm your order, a deposit representing approximately 30% of the final price is required to confirm your interest.

As soon as your deposit is executed, we will send you an advance payment receipt and an order confirmation. It is your responsibility to review the order confirmation. If you have any questions or concerns or if an order confirmation does not reflect your intentions, you should contact us at [email protected] without delay. Within 7 months of the Order Confirmation Date and at least 6 months before your manufacturing date we will inform you about the tentative manufacturing date that we have allocated to your order.

Your manufacturing date is the date we proceed to the final encasing of your watch. It will be stated in your timepiece passport (the ID card for a watch, to prove its authenticity, record services and repairs but serves also as a warranty card). Once this operation is completed, your watch will be tested for a couple of weeks. Therefore, you can expect a delivery 3 to 4 weeks after your manufacturing date.

Should you change your mind and cancel your order within 14 days, we will refund the full amount.

If you decide to cancel your order later, part of your deposit will no longer be refundable according to the following scale:

After 14 days, your deposit minus 10% and inherent banking fees is refunded,

6 months before your manufacturing date: 50% of your deposit minus inherent banking fees is refunded,

3 months before your manufacturing date: your deposit is forfeited.

10 days before your watch delivery, we will send you your final invoice and ask you to proceed with the payment.

We try our best to respect your manufacturing date but delays sometimes occur due to circumstances outside our control. A delay of 6 months or more with respect to the tentative manufacturing date does not entitle to a refund without penalty. Should you request a cancellation during this period, the full deposit minus 10% banking fees will be refunded.

All orders made through our Direct Sales Chanel that have been manufactured but not been fully paid and / or collected three months after the manufacturing date can be sold to another customer. No refund can then be claimed.

Product availability and order acceptance

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in case of serious doubts about the customer’s compliance with these terms and conditions or in case of arrears. All orders placed through our Direct Sales Chanel are subject to availability and acceptance of such orders by us. Quantity limits may apply in relation to orders for certain products. We reserve the right to refuse at any moment in time, without prior notice, orders exceeding a certain number of authorized products.

Prices, Taxes & Duties

All prices displayed on this website, in any Czapek documents or in any communication support (email, whatsapp messages, phone) are not contractual and can be modified at any time. Only quotes or order acknowledgements (order confirmation) issued by Czapek & Cie are contractual. The relevant prices are our international prices in CHF and do not include any taxes.

Please note that changes to applicable law between the date your order is placed and the date you are sent a written quote or an order confirmation may result in changes to the taxes associated with your order. If the resulting change is an increase in the taxes that you are charged, we will contact you and ask that you to reconfirm your order.

In case your purchase is delivered in another country than Switzerland, you might be requested by your country’s customs authorities to pay local VAT or/and other taxes before delivery can occur. This is usually collected by our carrier during the importation process but also by your country authorities.

For US customers, an additional 3% is added to the total amount to cover the cost for US importation duties, directly paid by Czapek.

8.1% Swiss VAT is applied and added to all purchases made in Switzerland.

If you are not a Swiss resident and are buying / picking up your purchase in Switzerland, you can claim for a full VAT refund on leaving the country. This tax refund will be made by Czapek & Cie SA only after Swiss customs have checked, approved and returned to Czapek & Cie your tax refund documents. Failure to comply with this process will result in the loss of your tax refund rights.

The declaration of your purchases made in Switzerland to your country of residence customs authorities is your sole responsibility.

3. Receive your watch

In order to organize delivery, we will contact you as soon as your watch is ready. All orders are available for shipping almost worldwide:

Czapek & Cie Terms and Conditions

Application and modifications of Czapek & Cie Terms and Conditions.

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. These Terms & Conditions are applicable to any order placed through our website or one of our Czapek Direct Sales representatives. Please note that before placing an order for products or services, you will be asked to agree to these Terms & Conditions. Sales concluded through third parties (such as authorized retailers) are not subject to these Terms & Conditions. 

We may make changes from time to time to these Conditions of Sale so please check back regularly to keep informed of updates. The latest version of these Terms and Conditions will always be available on our website. Any new version of these Conditions of Sale shall take effect immediately upon the date of posting and will govern any orders of products or services made as from that date. By placing an order, you automatically agree to all Czapek & Cie Terms and Conditions.    

Any changes to these Terms and Conditions made after you have placed an order will not affect that order and your relationship with Czapek & Cie, except as may be required by applicable law. Once your order is confirmed, all Terms and Conditions, including prices and refund policies, are fixed and will remain in force, even in case of modifications made after your order date .

Purchasing eligibility

Only individuals (and not legal entities) who (a) have reached the age of legal majority required to enter into contracts (eighteen in most countries); (b) have legal capacity to enter into contracts; and (c) use a shipping address in a country    that we ship to, may order products through the Direct Sales Chanel. If you are under the age of legal majority or otherwise cannot lawfully enter into a contract, you must have your parent or guardian place an order on your behalf and they will be asked to agree to these Terms & Conditions.

By placing an order through the Direct Sales Chanel, you accept to refrain from reselling the product within 12 months and you represent and warrant that you are a bona fide end-user customer purchasing for your own or another’s personal use and will not deliver, sell or otherwise distribute our products or purchase our products or services for commercial purposes.

Orders & preorders

To order your watch, a deposit is required to confirm your interest. The deposit amount depends on the watch model. 

As soon as your deposit is executed, we will send you your advance payment receipt and an order confirmation. It is your responsibility to review the order confirmation. If you have any questions or concerns or if an order confirmation does not reflect your intentions, you should contact us at [email protected] without delay.

Should you change mind and cancel your order within 14 days, we will refund the full amount. If you decide to cancel your order later, the deposit paid - less banking or transfer fees, an administrative charge (10% of the deposit) and the eventual personalization costs   incurred - will be refunded. Your deposit will not be refundable in case of a cancellation after you have been informed that your watch has been manufactured. To cancel your order, you must contact us at [email protected].

One week before the delivery of your timepiece, we will send you your final invoice and ask you to proceed with the payment.

If you order several products, we will ship the order only once all products are available (there will be no partial shipments unless otherwise communicated to you).

Return policy

We want you to be completely happy with the product you have ordered. If for any reason you are not satisfied, we will gladly accept your return notice within 14 days after receipt of the product. We will then within 5 working days issue a return authorization.

Please note that the product must be returned within 10 days of the date of the return authorization (return period). Further, all products must be returned with the original receipt, in a new and unused state, in perfect condition, with all original shipping and product packaging, protective materials, and tags in place. Czapek will not accept any return if the timepiece shows signs of wear or has been used or altered from its original condition in any way, or after the expiry of the 10-day return period. To proceed, you must imperatively contact us at [email protected] within 14 days after receipt of the product, otherwise, your request will not be considered.

A return in perfect conditions will result in the full refund less a transportation, insurance, an administrative charge (5% of the total price) and the eventual personalization costs.

Liability

We undertake to use our best endeavors to provide you with the best possible service quality consistent with the work done by all our employees. However, we cannot be held liable for any delay in delivering ordered articles, in particular for any delay in delivery of these articles by post, our order delivery partner, or its international partners.

Despite our vigilance and all the precautions taken by us in dealing with the partners with whom we work to enable you to benefit from the services offered by us, we do not guarantee the absence of any disturbance of the working of our website and the parts thereof. Consequently, we decline any liability for direct or indirect prejudice which may result from access to, or use of, our website or some of its elements, just as we decline any liability which may result from the impossibility of accessing or using our website, such as breakdowns or interruptions, network overloaded, distortion of messages, deliberate clogging of the electronic network by third parties, access breaking down or made impossible by network operators ensuing impossibility for us to process your order in due time. Similarly, we decline all liability for all risks associated with the installation of software permitting consultation of our website or for any damage resulting from errors in transmission, technical faults, overload or interruptions of communications.

We have made all the necessary arrangements to ensure the security of your payments by credit card with our partner Stripe (www.stripe.com). However, we decline any liability for the use of this payment facility. In particular, you recognize that we cannot be liable for loss caused to you as a result of transmission errors, impersonation, forgery, hacking or deciphering by unauthorized persons or authorities (Swiss or foreign).

Applicable law

These Terms and Conditions are exclusively subject to Swiss law. The sole place of jurisdiction shall be Geneva, Switzerland, subject to mandatory places of jurisdiction as provided by law.

Each provision of these terms shall be construed separately and independently of each other. If any provision is deemed invalid, void or otherwise unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from and not affect the enforceability of any of the other provisions of these terms.

Returns and Warranty

We do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds for products purchased via our website or the Czapek & Cie Geneva boutique. This does not affect your consumer rights in respect of defective products.

We are committed to ensuring that each product strictly complies with our quality criteria and that it has passed all our controls, both technical and aesthetic.

Products are covered by the applicable Czapek & Cie warranty: All Czapek Genève timepieces, sold through retail partners or directly, come with a 3-year international product warranty. Our watchmakers will personally take care of your After-Sales inquiries and will give you a prompt answer (10 days) regarding the repair of your watch.

Watch bracelets that have been adjusted at the customer’s request must have been done so by Czapek or a Czapek Authorized Retailer and should be returned immediately with all the links originally shipped if they are found defective.
